Heat check completed on a horizontal gas system. Drain line was flushed and treated. Flame sensor was cleaned. All electrical and mechanical components were found within manufacturer specifications. No major issues were found. The system is heating properly at time of departure.

I did find a gas leak on a connection point in between the gas shut off valve and the furnace. Connections were tightened down and retested for leaks. Upon arrival Jim told me what all happened and that the unit was vibrating like crazy. I asked him to show me the unit and when we got over there I inspected the fan blades for ice. Jim then told me that they had poured hot water on the blades to remove the ice. He said after thawing the ice the vibration stopped. The ice is what was causing the unit the vibrate.

I did find the start up amps to the compressor were exceeding manufacturer specifications. No other issues were found. The system is running at completion of service.

Options for repair were presented to the homeowner and she chose to have the blower motor capacitor replaced. I replaced the capacitor and function tested the system. No other major issues were found. The system was running at the completion of service.

Performed heater tune-up on a Carrier infinity furnace system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the furnace system. Replaced the high voltage wire nuts with a wago wire connector. I also found the water safety switch was not wired in correctly. I rewired the water safety switch and set up G Terminal Shutdown on the thermostat. Function checked the safety switch. No other issues were found. The system is operational at this time.

The homeowner is doing some remodeling in the home and I asked her to keep an eye on the air filter since it is likely that it will get dirty due to all the dust in the air. I also took a look at the dryer vent and it is clean. No major issues were found. The system is operational at this time.
