Performed AC cool check. Checked the electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. I cleared the condensation drain line and flow tested the drain with water. Replaced 16x16 square damper. Sealed new damper. Sealed a part of the supply plenum. Tested zone board and damper operation. Cleared drain. Installed new condenser fan motor and programmed it. Installed EasyStart kit and cycled operation 5 times. Everything is working at completion of service.

I did find that the system does not have a safety float switch install on either the condensation drain line or the secondary pan. The system was running at the completion of service.

During my diagnostic, I found that the coil on the contactor out at the condenser was completely shorted. Because it was shorted the voltage moving through the contactor was too high and the low voltage fuse protecting the circuit had popped. I spoke to the homeowner and she chose to have the contactor replaced. I replaced the contactor. I also secured the high voltage wires from the compressor so they wouldn’t run out on the copper lines inside the condenser. The system is working at completion of service.

Two system cool check was completed. Both drains were flushed and treated. Both outdoor coils were cleaned. All mechanical and electrical components were checked, along with refrigerant levels. On the upstairs condenser, I found the contactor charred and pitted. On the downstairs condenser, I found high in rush amps to the compressor. I recommend installing a soft start to lower the amps. The systems were running at completion of service.

Installed 3 ton Carrier R-454B heat pump system. Vertical air handler with heat kit in closet. Installed Ecobee pro thermostat. Installed new plywood overlay for the air handler to sit on. Built and installed new supply plenum. Sealed ductwork connections with mastic/hardcast. Installed new disconnect box and pad for the condenser. Pressure tested system with nitrogen and pulled vacuum. Rebuilt primary condensation drain, added secondary safety switch. Cleared with CO2 and primed with water. Charged AC with R-454B refrigerant. Tested heating and cooling operation of new system. Everything is working at completion of install.

AC cool check completed on a vertical heat pump system. Outdoor coils were cleaned. The drain line was flushed and treated. All mechanical and electrical components were checked. I did find high in rush amps to the compressor exceeding manufacturers limitations. I went over my findings and solutions with the homeowner. No other issues were found. The system was running at completion of service.

Installed Carrier 4 ton 2 stage heat pump. Installed 2 Ecobee pros. Installed new supply plenum and zoning plenums. Re routed bypass to feed into return. Installed new return air filter grilles. Installed new zone dampers and zone board. Installed plywood overlay. Sealed all connections. Rebuilt and insulated primary drain line. Installed SS2 Safety switch. Pressure tested lineset and pulled a vacuum. Installed new disconnect by the condensing unit. Tested system operation and weighed in additional charge as needed per manufacturer specifications. Everything is working at completion of install.
