Recently, one of my AC units stopped working. Max accessed the unit, determined the problem, ordered the necessary part and had repaired within 24 hours. His kindness and expertise are reasons I can depend on Garner AC & Heating. I highly recommend their company!
After performing the diagnostic, I found that the battery capacitor had completely failed. I presented the customer with his options, and he chose to have it replaced as well as adding a start assist to the condenser. After making the repairs everything is coming on and working at this time.
After performing the diagnostic, I found that the variable speed blower motor has completely failed. I called the supply house, and they will have to order it in from the factory. I presented this option to the customer, and he is going to call the company that installed the system. If they don’t have the motor he will call us back to order it.
After performing the diagnostic, I found that the air movement system for the master bedroom had completely failed. I presented the customer with her options, and she chose to have it replaced at the basic level. After performing the repair everything is coming on and working at this time. I also found the voltage enhancement system in the condenser to be below value and she chose to have that replaced at the basic level as well. Everything is working at this time.

Performed the heater tune-up on the Carrier heat pump system in the closet. Everything is coming on and working to industry standards at this time.

Performed the heater tune-up and everything is working at this time. The customer still had one filter left for each system and wanted to hold off until next visit to purchase new ones.
When I arrived to perform the heater tune-up, I found that the ignition and combustion system had failed and was not igniting the gas when it was called for. I gave the customer her options and she chose to have it replaced at this time. After performing the platinum level repair, I completed the remainder of the heater tune-up and everything is working properly at this time.
When I arrived, the customer showed me the inspection report and asked for me to look over everything and let them know what needs to be done. 1. The ductwork is not kinked; it is just the exterior and insulation going through a tight area. No further action needed. 2. The ductwork picture is of the return air flex which is filtered at the unit with a 4" media filter. It is very common for the return air to be dusty before it gets to the filter. No further action needed although we can complete a cleaning if the customer would like us to. 3. The exterior of the units had some biological growth on them due to the unit running cold and the attic being hot. The customer chose to have not just the exterior but also the interior of the units cleaned at this time. All issues from the inspection have been addressed. The system is working at this time.

Replaced the compressor and reversing valve under warranty. Everything is coming on and working the way it is supposed to at this time. The outdoor unit sounds normal and I have 10.6 degrees of subcooling and 17 degrees of superheat. It is 103 outside at this time.
When I arrived, I found the electronic safety switch had completely failed. I gave the customer his options and he chose to have it replaced at this time. I installed a new mechanical safety float switch into the primary drain line, and everything is coming on and working at this time.
Replaced the compressor inside the condenser that controls the upstairs. The customer chose to have it replaced at the gold level. After replacing the compressor, wiring harness, voltage enhancer, voltage distributor, compressor saver and recharging the system with R-410A, everything is coming and working to factory specs. The subcooling was 13 degrees and the superheat was 13.2. I also had a 21-degree split from the return to the supply.

While speaking with the customer prior to performing the maintenance on both of Mrs. Church's systems she did inform me that the upstairs did not seem like it had been cooling last night. When I arrived and performed the inspection, I did find the compressor not coming on from what I believed to be the voltage enhancer being depleted beyond specs. After replacing the parts and checking refrigerant pressures they did seem to be off, so I called our service manager Ryan. After running a few more diagnostics and letting the system run for about 45 minutes I returned to find the compressor no longer on. After cooling it down I turned the system back on to find the compressor not pumping. I gave the customer her options and she chose to have it replaced at the gold level. Will return tomorrow to complete work.
