The average HVAC service visit costs between $100 and $250, based on the circumstances. An HVAC technician's hourly pay ranges from $65 to $150+ per hour, with extra components ranging from $40 to over $1000. This fee is determined by the technician's amount of experience, nature of work, certifications, and specialty training. In other situations, an HVAC expert may charge a flat rate cost for their work solely, which ranges from $50 to $200 or more. This does not, however, cover any components or supplies required for the task. The typical cost of work, on the other hand, might range from $100 to over $1,500.
The cost of replacing a whole HVAC unit ranges from $5,000 to $10,000, with the norm being $7,000. This equates to between $25 to $60 per square foot. Prices are determined by the size and brand of the HVAC system, the square footage of the house, the length of the ductwork, and the efficiency rating of the new unit. Expect to pay between $1,500 to $12,500 for new installations. HVAC installation expenses generally range around $500 and $2,500 in labor costs. The entire cost is determined by the kind and condition of the existing system. Retrofitting forced or central air heating often costs more than replacing a piece of existing equipment.
