The compressor is often the most expensive part to replace on an AC unit. It plays a crucial role in the cooling process by circulating refrigerant. Replacing a compressor involves significant labor costs, and it can be more cost-effective to replace the entire condensing unit in some cases. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning the coils and replacing air filters, can help prevent issues that may lead to compressor failure and extend the overall lifespan of the AC unit.
Whether an air purifier is worth it depends on individual circumstances. Air purifiers can be beneficial for those with allergies, asthma, or sensitivity to airborne particles. They can improve indoor air quality by reducing pollutants, allergens, and odors. Consider factors like the specific air quality concerns, the size of the space, and the type of purifier. It's advisable to research and choose a suitable model based on your needs and consult with professionals for personalized advice on improving indoor air quality.

Thanks for the excellent rating.
Performed service diagnostic. Diagnostic found that the primary condensate drain line was clogged. Water was backing up in the drain line causing the safety switch to trip. No other major issues were found. Options for repair were presented to customer and they chose to have the drain line cleared and treated today. Drain line was cleared, flow tested with water, and treated. System was running at the time of departure.
Install new American Standard condensing coil. Flushed refrigerant lines and install new bi-flow drier. System charge to factory specs and working at this time.
I found the outdoor condenser to be cover in oil on all of the copper inside. The system was low on refrigerant and the compressor was not pumping correctly. I turned the system off and look for a leak. I had multiple hits but could not pinpoint. When I went to turn the system on the compressor was pulling lock rotor amps. The customer inform me that it has been running loud and not cooling for weeks.
