I also found the outdoor starter was pitted at the contacts. I spoke with Mr. Driscoll and he chose to have the motor and starter replaced. I replaced both components and cycled power at the thermostat. I also washed both outdoor coils and secured the compressor wiring on both systems. Both systems are operational at this time.
Installed new TXV on the heat pump condenser. Installed new liquid line filter drier inside the condenser. Cleared primary drain with CO2 and primed trap with water. Pressure tested system with nitrogen and pulled vacuum. Weighed in factory charge of R-410A and added additional charge to reach subcooling per charging chart. Tested operation of system. Everything is working at completion of service.
Smart Thermostat Installation: Installed a smart thermostat, allowing for remote temperature control and energy-efficient scheduling. This upgrade enhanced system performance, reduced utility costs, and offered greater convenience for the homeowner.
Removed old supply plenums. Built and installed new supply plenums, sealed all connections with mastic and hard cast. Reinstalled all duct connections with new metal collars and sealed with mastic. Completed dryer vent cleaning. Climbed up on roof and cleaned damper and roof cap. Cleared drains on both systems. Everything is working at completion of service.
Upsized ducting into the bedrooms and upsized the buckets. Installed returns in both rooms with filters. Removed metal WYEs and made ducts into home runs. Installed new registers. Sealed all connections with mastic. Tested static. Everything is operating as it should at completion of service.

Performed A/C tune-up on a Rudd heat pump system and checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Filter was replaced recently and is clean. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line. Cleaned the exterior of the air handler and washed the outdoor coil. I found that the indoor coil is dirty. The system is currently working but I did inform him that if the coil gets dirtier it will restrict airflow and freeze over. I presented the homeowner with repair options. No other issues were found. The system is operational at this time.

Service diagnostic found that the capacitor on the condenser unit has failed. Options for repair were presented to the homeowner, and Matt chose to have the capacitor replaced. I replaced the capacitor and function tested the system. The system is now operational.

I arrived and ran the endoscope camera through the length of pipe to see where clog was. I noticed it was mainly at the flapper. I then went outside and cleaned it from the outside making sure to get the lint free from the hinges. I then ran the brush through the entire length of pipe and vacuumed it out. I also rinsed the condenser and gave it a wax treatment at no additional charge to the homeowner.
