Matt was awesome!! Not only did great work to ensure my system was running as it should, but gave me advice on additional maintenance that I could do between visits to keep my AC running smoothly. Thanks, Matt!
Performed AC cool check. Checked the electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. I cleared the condensation drain line and flow tested the drain with two gallons of water. I also treated the drain line. The air filter was replaced with a client supplied filter. Condenser coil was cleaned. No major issues were found. The system was running at the completion of service.
On arrival, I found that the outdoor fan motor was running but the compressor was not pumping any refrigerant. I diagnosed that the outdoor run capacitor had failed across the HERM terminals. I went over my findings with the home owner and he chose to replace the capacitor today. I installed a new run capacitor and all new insulated wiring terminals. Secured all connections and cycled high voltage power. Everything is working at this time.
Quick efficient service. Great experience
On arrival, I found that the outdoor fan motor was running, however the compressor was not pumping any refrigerant throughout the refrigerant circuit. I tested the run capacitor and found that it had failed across the HERM terminal. I checked up in the attic and verified the air filter was not dirty and also tested the fresh air damper system as well. I went over my findings with the homeowner and they chose to replace the capacitor. Installed a new run capacitor at the outdoor condenser. Cycled high voltage power and checked over operations. Tested and verified refrigerant was operating at a 13°SH and a 13°SC value. Indoor air temp prior to leaving was around 80° at 80% humidity. I did let them know it would take some time to cool the house down as it has to remove all the heat and humidity from the home. Everything is working at this time.
Matt handled a scheduling problem (on my part) with kindness and grace and was accommodating of the stopgap solution. Upon my arrival he was all ready to go with an explanation, solution, and alternative options that proved insightful. He was very knowledgeable and explained the system in depth in a way that made it seem air conditioners were a genuine interest of his and answered all my questions in detail. I've officially fired Stans heating and air and yall are my new standard
Service diagnostic found that the capacitor on the condenser unit had failed. Options for repair were presented to the homeowner and he chose to have the repair done today. The system was running at the completion of service.
Air Conditioning System Repair: Identified and repaired deteriorated refrigerant line insulation, which was causing energy loss and condensation. Re-wrapped lines with new UV-resistant insulation for improved system efficiency and reliability.
I spoke with homeowner when I arrived. He mentioned that his roommate said the house was getting warmer during the day and since he is heading out for deployment, wanted to get the AC system checked over. I found a 2021 5 ton Trane 2 stage straight cool system installed at the home. The system is currently running low on R-410A charge. System was operating at a 25°SH and 2°SC, with a 72° suction line temperature. I used my electronic leak detector and inspected the indoor evaporator coil in the attic but did not find any refrigerant leaks present during today’s visit. I went over my findings with the homeowner and they chose to move forward with needed repairs. I installed a new outdoor run capacitor at the outdoor unit. I added in 3# of R-410A refrigerant into system, which allowed for a 15°SH and a 10°SC value to be reached, matching the manufacturer specifications for operation. I function tested the system. Everything is working at this time.
Air Conditioning System Repair: Replaced a failed compressor to resolve repeated circuit breaker trips and restore reliable AC performance. This repair improved system safety and efficiency.

Service diagnostic found that the blower motor had failed. I confirmed that the blower motor was getting power and signal to run. Options for repair were presented to the homeowner and she chose to have the blower motor replaced. I ordered the motor and went and picked it up. I returned to the job with the replacement motor and replaced the blower motor. I function tested the system and the system was running at the time of departure.

It's been quite a while since I've observed such a customer-centered strong work ethic! And that includes every single person I interacted with every single time--from the phone conversations, the in home estimate, the technical work to the final "customer satisfaction" follow up visit. (By the way, who does that!) Speaking of the follow up visit...I am especially grateful to Ryan! We discussed that I needed more storage space in the attic, and he took time to explain what I needed to do using 2x4s and my plywood pieces. He had to go to the shop to get a stapler gun to better secure part of (?something :0). When he returned he had 2x4s, a circular saw and nail gun. He said if I was okay with it he would create my additional attic storage space. WHAT!!!! He had the pieces cut and installed within about 30 minutes! I was already so happy with everything and everyone, but this put a huge "WOW!!" in my head! So, because of Ryan, I have to add "kindness" and "generosity" to my description of this company and its employees!
