Performed a heater tune-up on a Carrier gas furnace system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the furnace. I replaced the high voltage wire nuts with a Wago wire connector. I also secured the compressor wiring to prevent any future rub outs. I did find the water heater and the furnace are in the same closet. I ran both bathrooms exhaust fans, dryer, the furnace and the water heater to see if there was any CO spillage from the water heater. I ran everything for about 15 minutes and found the water heater is spilling about 1-2 ppm. No other major issues were found, and the system is operational at this time.

Performed semiannual maintenance on one inverter heat pump system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. I did note that the wall controller was displaying that a suction line temp sensor was out of range. I checked the value of the sensor against the manufacturer chart and found the sensor to be reading over 1600° when should be reading around 50°. I installed a new outdoor temperature thermistor, checked temperature at UI on the wall and verified it was reading properly. Everything is working at this time.

Installed 3.5-ton Carrier gas system. Installed Ecobee thermostat. Installed new extended supply plenum. Installed new return plenum. Installed new secondary drain pan. Rebuilt and insulated primary drain line. Installed SS2 and SS3 safety float switches. Cleared drain and verified operation. Installed new disconnect and whip at outdoor unit. Reinsulated suction line and ran low voltage in Seal-Tite. Pressure tested line set and pulled a vacuum. Weighed in additional refrigerant to meet manufacturers’ standards.
