Service diagnostic found that the 5-amp fuse in the air handler was blown. I went through the wiring checking for shorts and did not find any. I went through the wires and did not find any frayed or exposed wires. I replaced the fuse and tested the system in cooling, heating auxiliary heating and fan modes. The system was operating normally. Once the system was operational, I performed a heat check on the system. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. I cleared the drain line and flow tested the system with two gallons of water. I replaced the filter with a customer supplied filter. No other major issues were found, and the system is running at the completion of service

Heating tune-up completed on a horizontal air handler. During my tune-up, I found that both plenums have partially detached. The ductwork also has multiple significant leaks throughout the entire system. In addition, I found that the disconnect for the condenser is not working properly. No other major issues found.

Performed heater tune-up. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. I cleared the drain line and flow tested the drain with two gallons of water. I then treated the drain line. I found some mold was growing inside the air handler around the evaporator coil. No other major issues found.

Autumntime HVAC Maintenance Service – To prepare for the colder months, I carried out a thorough cleaning of the heat exchanger and checked the furnace's heat strips. I also inspected the ductwork for potential air leaks, sealing any gaps to maintain consistent heating throughout the home. This preparation ensured the system was in top condition for efficient performance during autumn and winter.

Heating Repair Service – A property owner reported that their heating system was not producing adequate heat. During my inspection, I found that the heat exchanger was cracked, posing both an efficiency and safety risk. I replaced the heat exchanger and conducted a carbon monoxide test to ensure the system was safe for continued use. The heating system was restored to full functionality, providing reliable warmth.

AC System Repair – A homeowner reported that their air conditioner was emitting a burning smell. After a detailed inspection, I found that the motor's bearings were worn out, causing overheating. I replaced the worn bearings and thoroughly tested the motor to confirm that the issue was resolved. This repair ensured the AC unit would run smoothly without any further concerns.

Performed heater tune-up. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. I cleared the drain line and flow tested the drain with two gallons of water. I also treated the drain. During the check I found that the hot surface igniter is cracked and will not reliably ignite the furnace. Presented my findings to the homeowner, and Glen chose to have the igniter replaced today. I replaced the igniter and cycled the system. The system is heating properly after completion of repairs. No other major issues found.

Performed a heater tune-up on a Carrier gas system. Checked electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the furnace. I replaced the high voltage wire nuts with a Wago wire connector. We also reduced the fan speed in cooling mode which decreased the total static pressure of the system. No other major issues were found, and the system is operational at this time.

Completed installation of an all-new duct system. Installed new extended supply plenum and return plenums. Installed and sealed all new buckets and grilles. Raised unit on 8” vibration isolators. Created transition between furnace and coil. System operating at this time.

Performed the heat check on two systems. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the systems. The drain lines were cleared, and flow tested with two gallons of water each. The drain lines were then treated. No major issues were found, and the systems are running at the time of departure.

Performed a heater tune-up on a Lennox gas system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and also cleaned the exterior of the furnace. I replaced the high voltage wire nuts with a Wago wire connector. I also sealed the furnace to prevent any unfiltered attic air from being pulled into the system. I then checked the static pressure of the system and found that the static is high due to the filter being too restrictive. My total static pressure reading on the furnace was 1.19. My return side reading with the filter was .71, I then removed the filter, and my static reading dropped to .32. No other issues were found, and the system is operational at this time.

Air Conditioning System Tune-Up: The client requested a tune-up for their air conditioning system ahead of the autumn transition. During the service, I identified that the system’s condenser fan was operating sluggishly due to debris buildup. I cleaned the fan and lubricated its components, restoring the unit’s efficiency for both cooling and heating during the changing temperatures.

HVAC System Repair Service: During an autumn service call, I found the client's HVAC system had a faulty blower motor, causing inadequate airflow throughout the home. I replaced the malfunctioning motor, restoring consistent airflow and ensuring the system could efficiently heat the home as temperatures dropped.

Performed heating maintenance on a gas system. Checked all electrical, mechanical, safety and performance of the system. Cleared and treated the drain line and wiped the exterior of the furnace. Taped around the filters to prevent any air bypass. All surge protectors and air purifiers are working. No major issues were found, and the system is operational at this time.

Installed new 12x24 return air filter grille. Built new return plenum and sealed all connections with mastic air lock. Ran a new 14” flex duct into the existing return plenum. Verified system operation and cleared and treated drain line. Everything working at this time.

I did find the total static pressure of the furnace is .82 which is above acceptable levels. No other major issues found.

Replaced the blower motor and condenser fan motor. I also treated the inside of the condenser cabinet with JS insecticide and rinsed the condenser coil. The system was function checked and is now operational.

Heating tune-up completed on horizontal gas system. I visited with the homeowner about increasing quality and Merv rating of air filters. No other major issues found.
